News for January 2020

I have been working (10 hours a week) for the homeless charity Crisis for over 5 years, providing them with Polymer Clay workshops for the homeless and vulnerably housed, but in September 2019 I had a promotion to Arts and Crafts tutor (28 hours a week), so not only am I running Fimo classes, but also other Arts and Crafts classes too, which is so exciting and challenging!! (am on Pinterest a lot, for inspiration!!) I am really enjoying my job, but it has meant some big changes to my other self-employed work. I have had to say 'no' to running adult workshops, community workshops and also school workshops have to be a bit more local to South Yorkshire than they have been in the past, and I can only make Wednesdays...my day off!!

The ONLY Polymer Clay Artist Educator in the UK !! hopefully!

It is quite a statement to make, and one that makes me very proud. Providing Polymer Clay Workshops in schools is something that I have been doing for over 19 years and is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. I have worked with thousands of children and young people and also those with additional educational needs... I have worked at over 65 schools all over the UK, many of which I return to year after year... I LOVE MY JOB!!

As from January 2020 Gill will only be able to run local (South Yorkshire - UK) one day workshops, this is due to other work commitments.

I am proud to say I am the only artist who works with Fimo that provides workshops in schools.
