Bronwie/Guide Workshops
-
I can provide your organisation with a Polymer Clay Workshop that is tailor made to meet the needs of the group that you run. Age, ability and any special needs will be fully taken into consideration.
-
I come to your venue.
-
I am fully insured and have my DBS clearance certificate.
-
I provide all the equipment needed, including portable ovens for 'baking' the clay. If the group is quite large it may be more suitable for the children to take their items home to 'bake'. Full instructions will be given. I will need some space for the ovens away from the children. You will need to provide a table and chairs for everyone. This clay is not messy, but some bits may go on the floor, so it may be wise to have something to cover the floor if it is carpeted. They will make at least two items to take home with them!
-
I will arrive about 20 minutes before the workshop is due to start.
-
The workshop will last about an hour and a half. The first 3/4 of an hour we will be creating, the next 30 mins will be baking the items (which takes half an hour).Whilst the clay is being 'baked' you can do what you normally do with them ie, games /notices/drinks etc. The clay will also need 10/15 mins to cool down once out of the oven. The children can then take their items home with them.
-
Their creations could be 'baked' at home if needed if your session is only an hour or I could take the items home with me and bring them back to your next meeting.
-
They will be able to make 2 small items or 1 larger one during that time.
-
Safety rules and full instructions will be given.
-
What you want them to make is entirely up to you, if you have a particular theme ie. teddy bears picnic, we can make teddies, or if its Mothers day soon we can make something for their mums. I also have a large selection of ideas if you are stuck!!
-
I can cater for up to 25 children, as well as any other adult helpers/leaders that would like to have a go too!
