Fimo is a plastic modelling material which is highly coloured, and it is ‘baked’ in an ordinary oven. The birthday party will inspire your children to be creative, to give them a sense of achievement, to let them have a fun, memorable birthday where there are no phones or tablets, where it is back to a time when children all had fun together, laughed and giggled and showed themselves that they can be creative with the right help!  That's where I come in... I have been working with this clay for nearly 40 years and I have a wealth of experience in working with children, so you an be assured that they are in safe hands!!

Secondly, I come to your home or venue of your choice.

What I provide:

• Handmade Polymer Clay gift, and card for the birthday person!

• I provide all the equipment needed, including portable ovens for 'baking' the clay. I will need some space for the ovens away from the children.

• I am fully insured and have my DBS clearance certificate, so your mind can be put at ease that your child’s welfare is of the utmost importance to me.

• I provide wipes for the children to use whilst modelling the clay and also to clean their hands after the session.

What you will provide:

• You will need to provide a table and chairs for everyone. This clay is not messy, but some bits may go on the floor, so it may be wise to have something to cover the floor if it is carpeted.

• Snack and a drink after the first two items have been made and to have a comfort break.

Who is it for:

• The party is suitable for both boys and girls aged 7 upwards, but 6-year-olds will be catered for if it is a 7th birthday party.

• Age, ability and any special needs will be fully taken into consideration. The party will be tailor made to meet the exact needs of your group.

• I can cater for about 15 children in your home or up to 30 children in a larger venue.

What will it cost:

• £120.00 for up to 10 children

• £8.00 per child if over 10 children are attending.

• 40p per mile from S61 4NS

• £30.00 non-refundable deposit payable upon booking. This can be either paid via BACS of PayPal.

• The remainder of the payment will be paid on the day of the party, this can be cash or via the payment options above.

• If you are wanting your child’s whole class of 30 children to attend, you will need to find an appropriate venue, table and chairs. The fee for this should be £280.00 but I  will do it at a reduced rate of £240.00, so you get 5 children free of charge.

 

What will happen:

• I will arrive about 20 minutes before the party is due to start, so that I can set up and get the space arranged.

• A short talk about how to keep safe during the party, just to make sure there are no accidents with the tools they are going to be using. There is no need for aprons as this is a very clean type of clay, although if it is a carpeted area you may will to put something on the floor to protect it from stray pieces of clay. 

• They will use cutlery type butter knives to cut the clay and cocktail sticks to put patterns and textures onto the clay. 

• The party will last about 2 hours.

• The children will make 3 items during the party, of which you can choose from the photos below , and you can see how much fun children had at previous parties on the Birthday Party Gallery Page or if you have any other more personalised suggestions or what to make, then I am more than willing to try to accommodate this. What I am often asked to do is for me to chose then it will be a surprise for the birthday child!

• The children will make the first two models which will be then baked, we can then have a break for a quick snack and a drink and then they will come back to make the last piece.

• The last item will be taken home to bake. Full instructions will be given out.  

• The last 10-15 minutes of the party I will be finishing off the pieces, for example adding the magnets onto their work or attaching the key rings. Items will be coming out of the oven and will need to be cooled down before putting in the bags. This time will be a good opportunity for the child to open presents or blow out the candles on their cake.

• At the end of the party I will give out their bags. Sometimes the children will be staying on for some food or a sleep-over, so it is up to you when they get their bags.

• You will not be expected to help or assist at the party, unless you want to!! Just relax and have a cuppa and let me take your party stresses away!!
